Desmids have the ability to move slowly excreting mucilage out of special pores. The picture shows some of this pores of Euastrum oblongum. High resolution DOF picture assembled of over 40 shots (manually stacked) taken with Planapo 63/1.4 showing the multilevel cell surface.

Desmidiaceen haben die Fähigkeit, sich mittels Schleimausscheidung aus speziellen Poren langsam zu bewegen. Das Bild zeigt einige dieser Poren bei Euastrum oblongum. Das hochauflösende Multiebenen-Bild von über 40 Aufnahmen (manuell gestapelt) zeigt die stufig modellierte Zelloberfläche.
