Synura sphagnicola can be preferentially found in sphagnum ponds. Typical are the reddish oil droplets they bear in plasma.

Synura sphagnicola bevorzugt Moorteiche. Typisch sind die rötlichen Öltröpfchen im Zellplasma (keine Augenflecken!).
