Euglenid ohne Chloroplasten, Zellkörper bei Bewegung stark metabolisierend (d. h. durch den Körper laufen peristaltische Wellen), zwei Geißeln, eine davon ist eine kurze Schleppgeißel. Der Messbalken markiert eine Länge von 50 µm.
