Wenn sich Ciliaten mit Lorica teilen, wandelt sich einer von ihnen zu einem Schwärmer. Das Bild zeigt Folliculina kurz nach der Teilung. Das Exemplar im Zentrum blieb in der Lorica, der Schwärmer oben auf dem Bild musste das Gehäuse verlassen. Der Messbalken markiert eine Länge von 50 µm.
